It’s strange receiving a package you sent!

At the start of the year I went to Thailand for 3 months to train in Muay Thai. Unfortunately, I got a servere injury (pulled calf) after a month so couldn’t train. But I decided to stay on and enjoy myself.

Because I had went over to train, all of the things I brought were for for Thai Boxing. So I didn’t have many going out clothes, most of my clothing was sporty. Plus I was lugging around my boxing gloves, wraps and shin guards even though I didn’t need them.

When I got to Bangkok I treated myself to some new t shirts and jeans because it’s so cheap there. So I shipped everything else back to myself and today, 2 months later, it arrived. It’s strange receiving something you wrapped yourself!!

Package

Package From Thailand

Included in the box were 4 pairs of shorts and 6 or 7 training shirts. In the last 2 months I’ve been using the same 3 t shirts for the gym so it will be good to have a variety now! Yes, I could have bought some more but there was no need as I knew this was in transit!

  1. Wow… You actually went to Thailand just to train Thai boxing. You must be really into boxing.

Thailand products are very cheap indeed. Haven’t been to the border town for quite some time now.

Have you tried the durian ? haha… Even Bizarre food’s Andrew Zimmern couldn’t take it.

You should also visit Malaysia bro. We have great food and friendly people :)

  2. Hey Roseli. I actually flew into Kuluar Lumpur before I went to phuket for the training. Just stayed overnight at a hotel near the airport though.

I spent a month in malaysia in 2004. Went from singapore to melacca, toi KL, then georgetown in penang and then a week in langkawi. Langkawi was beautiful. KL was a fun night out too.

  3. You really travelled a lot bro. Great to know that you’ve spent a month here. Hope you enjoyed your stay.

I guess you haven’t been to East Malaysia ie Sabah and Sarawak. There are more things to do and see there. Everything is more cheaper there compare to the peninsula. When I was working with Malaysia petroleum company years back, I had to take a 5 hours boat journey to deliver a deskstop to a remote station… How remote.. lol

  4. Yeah I had a blast. Langkawi was great fun. There was about 8 or 9 of us and we hired mopeds for a few days and just travelled the island. It was great. There’s wild monkeys everywhere and a great waterfall in the middle of the island.

After langkawi, 3 of us (including myself) headed up to thailand and the rest went to the easy of Malaysia. Can’t remember the name off the top of my head but it was apparently beautiful and great for snorkelling. It was quite remote too, which is one reason why I didn’t fancy going. As I’d have to have spent 18 hours on a bus getting there.

  5. I’m happy to hear that you had a great time.

I think your friends went to the famed Sipadan or Mabul island which is one of the world’s top diving spot. Nowadays, divers can’t stay overnight in Sipadan due to new regulations to protect the island.

I’m not sure about the 18 hour bus journey, maybe at that time there are no connecting flights ? From Kuala Lumpur to Sipadan – 2 1/2 hour flight from KL to Tawau – 30 min ride to Jetty – 2 hours boat ride.

or maybe they went to another place…
