The comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from pneumonia. I thought he was hilarious so I was shocked to hear him die so young.

When I wake up I should hopefully have my copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3. Just when I was starting to play GTA4 a bit less they go and bring out the game I’ve been waiting to get for years!

The one player game is supposed to be amazing however I’m looking forward to trying out the online multiplayer modes too. Anyone else getting this?

I decided to have a quiet Friday night last night and didn’t go out. Instead, my friend came round and we spent most of the night playing Grand Theft Auto 4 on the PS3. As I predicted at the start of the week, it’s drained a lot of my time!

Of course, we interrupted playing the game to catch the first episode of the brand new 5th season of Peep Show. It was hilarious and saw Mark once again fuck up another chance with a girl he thought was the one (after one meeting).

British readers will no doubt be aware of the show but I’m not so sure it’s shown stateside. Basically, the show is about two guys in their late twenties. Jeremy is a musician who is coasting through life doing pretty much what he wants. Mark’s a business man who tries to be sensible but inevtibly messes things up all the time, usually due to Jeremy. The show is unique from other comedys as nearly all scenes are shown from the perspective of one of the characters.

Here’s a clip from the episode where Jeremy decides to drug Mark so that he doesn’t ruin his night. Superb!

Any other Peep Show fans out there?

I had the misfortune of watching Meet the Spartans the other day. Having enjoyed 300 (the film it spoofs) and the Scary Movies (from the same director) I thought it would at least be watchable. I was sorely wrong.

Meet the Spartans has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. I’m really shocked at the fact it made money! The film had very few good jokes and the ones which were a little bit funny were ruined because they overused them time and time again. 90 minutes of my life which are gone forever!

I don’t want to write much more about the film as just thinking about it pisses me off, all I will say to you is this : If you’re at BlockBuster and your partner or friend asks you if you want to rent the film please take out a pencil, jam it into their left eye, slap them across the face and point at them and say No!
