I can relate this situation exactly what I have faced. Recording a video could be such a pain sometimes.
When you are up for it, something goes wrong, the cameras do not as the battery, there is someone who tend to bother us at that time only.

Yeah failures is a part of life, it occurs at every footstep but we need to move on and learn from those mistakes so that we learn from those and avoid those in future.
