Tim,
It sounds like this person did not even try your suggestions.
Some of them were new to me but I can attest that the ones I already knew are affective.
I'm looking forward to trying the one about photo albums. I'm choosing not to follow updates on this reply but feel free to email me directly.

oliMa,

The initial message is just an icebreaker. I connect over the commonality that we both like a certain page, interest, etc.

Then I move the conversation forward from there. I focus on creating a personal relationship; I'm not just looking to sell these people on my services right away. Sometimes I do sell them into my business within the first 10 messages, but it doesn't always happen like that.

In my initial message, I ask them to send me a friend request. I don't send the friend request because of the risk of being put in FB jail if they don't respond to my request.

After they are on my friends list, they will receive my status updates, lifestyle photos, value videos etc. I let my Facebook wall do the marketing for me.

The status updates, videos, value posts, etc. are are tailored to helping my target audience. This is my side content.

I have identified the pains, problems, needs, wants, desires, and challenges that my niche market faces, and I create Facebook content around that.

Your friends list is just like your email list.

The goal is to reach the 5,000 friend limit with HIGHLY TARGETED LEADS in your niche. If you have 5,000 friends all within your niche, and they constantly see you posting value, testimonials of you seeing success and helping others, and living a lifestyle they want for themselves, then they will inevitable message you and ask what you're doing or directly ask for your join link.

Yes, this process takes daily discipline and time. Then again, there is no magic pill for making millions overnight. That is why the fail rate in internet and network marketing is so high. The majority of people come in with unrealistic expectations and a "get rich quick" mentality.

Thanks for the great content you are posting; i pretty like the 7 strategies on facebook. very good topics. thank you again.

But i'd like to challenge you on one question. I like the graph search and I've found it can be a great way to find sources of leads, and even growht hacking.

but how do you contact all these people in a period of a month? (i've made 5 search of 500K and 1 million users/profiles)
how do you make this possible but building a partnership witht he "thing"/source these people are linked with or by creating side content that these people seem to be looking for?

facebook does not allow you to contact many people in the same time if they are not your friends.

so is this linked to your strategy of sending 100 messages per day? still slow process.

don't know if you have a trick or advice.

Hey Mark,

Unfortunately, Facebook's rules are that you CANNOT send messages to personal profiles from your business fan page. It will automatically send from your personal Facebook profile (like you experienced).

You can ONLY message personal profiles if they initiate and send a message to your business fan page first.

Thus is why I do all of my networking from my personal profile, and then I will invite new connections to "Like" my business page.

When Facebook went public, they SEVERELY decreased the amount of exposure your business fan pages get in others newsfeeds. Now you have to promote your posts (pay $) to get your status updates in front of a lot of people.

So, if I had a post with a call-to-action that I really wanted people to see, then I will use my business page and pay for a post. Otherwise, I stick to using my personal profile.

This is why understanding point #3 (Facebook Edgerank) is so important when using your personal fan page. You can control, to some extent, the amount of exposure you get on your status updates.

I use my business page mostly for social proof, but most of my marketing and promotion is done with my personal profile.

Hi Tim,

I think the post was good. Seems to be a lot of nice tips in here.

One thing I do wonder though, and I apologise as I've only just started using Facebook and this may be very basic.

In point 1 you suggest finding others in your niche and then sending them a message. Are you simply saying that you should send a private message to someone you don't know and ask them to like your page? I just did the search as you suggested but it looks like the private message will be sent from my personal account and not my business page.

If I'm using Facebook as a business page, how can I write on the wall of someone who has liked my page? I just tried and their account was closed off to me because we're not friends. Also, if I go into the news feed of someone I am friends with who has liked my page it also changes so that the comment will be written from my personal account, not the page account.

Love to hear if there is something I don't get about this, or am doing wrong. Thanks.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for your feedback.

All I will say is that these strategies have helped multiple guys on my team create 6-figure residual incomes online.

Yes, they are young, ambitious, go-getters and now they are living in complete freedom with more excitement, choice, abundance. and happiness.

Isn't that what we all want? That is why we got started on the internet in the first place, right?

So, I can't argue against proven results.

Sorry to hear that these strategies didn't serve you.

Either way, I wish you best on your business adventures, whatever those are.

Kevin, hopefully this was only a guest post and Tim is not a regular contributor that you’ve hired.

If you want to attract the naïve teenager that wants to make money online then Tim is the right fit. I prefer the experienced individual who wants to establish an online business, has good business sense, a proven record, and who offers solid advice.

I’m not looking for a fast buck, secret super sneaky tricks, and the internet lifestyle.

I know that I’ve reacted strongly but Tim’s writing style reminds me of the warrior forum hucksters that I wish to avoid.
