Can you please tell me Heather’s theme name, again? I had difficulty with the audio. I am looking for a blank canvas plugin or theme where I can add my GetResponse code.

The built-in page template is a great starting point. All you need to do is add your content to the page and you are set. Very simple to do and very effective :)

I found it very clear and useful. I think I’ll start with the one in my theme. You’re right, I totally didn’t realize that was there. :)

And then I’ll also try the others, starting with WP Landing Pages. I think that using the built-in one first will give me a better idea of what I want to do when I try the plugin. I do want to keep it really simple, so maybe that won’t be too hard to do.

Sorry about the poor audio. I talk about this problem in my video “Three Difficulties I Face Recording YouTube Videos in South America“. Unfortunately, there is a huge amount of background noise in Bogota and it is always there – dogs barking, . This is partly my fault as I made a last-minute decision to come over here and did not have enough time to buy the proper equipment.
Ideally, I would have recorded using a better camera and/or a lavalier microphone.

I do have a good microphone with me, but I can only use it in conjunction with my webcam. I can also use that for voiceovers.

With regards to my accent, well, that is how I speak. Just as an Australian talks with an Australian accent and an American speaks with an American accent, I speak with a Scottish accent.

Don’t worry. I am not offended by your statement. I have been over to the USA several times and many Americans had problems with my accent. I believe this is due to not being exposed to the accent. And when you are exposed to it in television and films etc, the accent is inevitably toned down considerably for North American audiences. To the point where it hardly resembles a Scottish accent anymore.

My brothers wife is from Michigan and she has spoke about she can understand Scottish accents perfectly because she is married to my brother, but that many of her friends find it difficult.

That being said, there is not much I can do about it. That is the way I speak naturally :)
