Earlier today I briefly spoke about a Canadian guy called Vincent who fought last month the Thai fighter threw the fight. Officially, the Thai fighter didn’t but have a look at the video below to see what I mean. I didn’t know Vincent but a few of my friends did. He looked pretty good at training so if I was him I would have been pissed off.
I totally agree that he threw it! In the first minute he had Vince in his back pocket where without even trying he landed everything. After that he just gave up and there were 3 apparent ‘blows’ where he was falling around the ring. There is even one where Vince is embaressed as he knows there was little to no connection. I do realise I don’t know the power of these guys but one of the hits that rocked the Thai guy was nothing compared with the hits he would take even when sparring.
An absolute joke and if i’d bet the Thai, i’d be raging.
Most of the people I spoke to who were at the fight commented on it and thought the thai fighter dived. Perhaps it’s not as clear in the video. Vincent definately got the win, I reckon he would have won anyways but I think something like that would piss me off. :)
I don’t know if the fight was thrown or if the Thai just had really poor balance? Nothing looked like it was a knock out punch, maybe a stray elbow here or there but nothing too brutal.
Give Vince the win, but tell him to keep his hands up when he kicks. Same problem I had when I used to train.
Did you watch the same fight as me? It’s difficult to know if they had the same level of technique as the thai fighter threw it.
Great fight…almost the same level of technique in both fighters.
