You can utilise audio editing applications to make few quick cuts or attempt to fix poor audio with a lot of noise.

Audio editing applications typically come with effects and filters to help you improve your audio. It is up to you to adjust the parameters of these effects to restore audio correctly.

Audacity has everything you need to record and edit audio and there are many plugins and effects available that expand functionality further.

Adobe Audition

Originally developed by ex-Microsoft employees in the early 1990s, “Cool Edit” was bought by Adobe in 2003 and rebranded as “Adobe Audition”. It continues to be Adobe’s flagship audio editing application.

The software can be used to record, edit, mix and restore audio. There are very few things that Audition cannot do, however like all audio editing software, you do need to spend some time learning Audition to get the most from it.
